Sylvia’s Story
76 year old Sylvia Bishop took the walk of wealth. For over 46 years, Sylvia dedicated her life to caring for others whilst battling breast cancer herself. Now retired, she spends her time visiting old patients whilst supporting others at a breast cancer group. Sylvia also fosters abused and neglected dogs and has taken in nearly 50 dogs during the last six years.

Sylvia’s Game
The opening round saw £20,000, £5, £1, £35,000 and £10 revealed. The Banker’s first offer was £8,500 – NO DEAL.
Little damage was caused in Round Two, £10,000, £250 and £10 amounts were wiped from the board. The Banker’s second offer was £13,500 – NO DEAL.
A dream third round produced 10p, £250 and 50p concluding an impressive all blue round. The Banker pointed out that Sylvia was the oldest contestant to date and goes into the Hall of Fame. £20,000 was offered – NO DEAL. Her daughter was amazed as prior to the game Sylvia said she would deal on that amount.
£3,000, £5,000 and £15,000 ended an all red fourth round. The Banker offered £17,500 – NO DEAL.
Amazingly Sylvia produced another dream round. 1p, £500 and £750 left the Dream Factory buzzing. The Banker’s fifth offer was £33,000 – DEAL.
Sylvia had to find the £100,000 and £250,000 in Round Six. Amazingly £500, £50 and £1,000 were found. Sylvia would have been left with the best possible finish. The Banker would have offered £170,000. Noel opened Box 5 to see the £250,000 had been brought to the pound table.
Sylvia admitted she edged on the side of caution. Along with £33,000 Sylvia also received, a personal message from Paul O’Grady, a day at Crufts and a nodding Buster Dog. Other gifts included a personal invite to visit Dog Borstal, a behind the scenes Coronation Street tour and a meet and greet with the cast.
