Ian’s Game
Ian considers himself lucky in gambling. He won £1,200 after putting money on Alex Higgins to win the World Snooker Championship. Ian has also won £400 in raffle at local pub and has successfully selected the winner of Grand National four times. In case Ian needed any extra luck, he brought a long a good luck card made by his daughters. He also brought a picture of Sharon and himself on their first holiday together in St Ives.
Ian brought Box 6 to the table – his daughters had coincidentally drawn Box 6 on his good luck card.
Round one began with £15,000 and £5,000 found. Ian tried to motivate the pilgrims by getting everyone to laugh; he told everyone to remember the feeling and said “that’s your comfort zone”. £1,000, £750 were revealed and then the £75,000 made everyone search for their comfort zone. The Banker’s first offer was £6,500 – NO DEAL.
Round Two saw the positivity kick in - 50p, £10 and £250 concluded a brilliant all blue round. The Banker offered £10,000 - NO DEAL.
An early set back in Round Three came as £50,000 was hit. £3,000 and £1 recovered the round. The Banker’s third offer was £15,000 – NO DEAL.
Ian said the numbers he was picking came to him whilst mediating. Ian’s longest meditation was for 4 hours and 45 minutes resulting in him raising £4,000 for children with leukemia.
Round Four caused more damage with £100,000 and £35,000 found. £5 ended the round. The Banker thought his offer was good at £12,500. Ian disagreed – NO DEAL.
£500 and 1p was a great start in Round Five only for the dreaded £250,000 to produce a cruel twist. The Banker offered £5,000. “Even if you go away with nothing, you’re still the best dad in the world” Shouted Ian’s children from the audience which prompted a NO DEAL.
10p, £10,000 and £20,000 went in round six leading to an offer of £75 – NO DEAL. £50 was in Ian’s Box 6
