Student from South Wales, Lee carried box 16 down the Walk of Wealth. Noel read Lee’s ambition is to be a pop star but he can’t sing or dance! Lee brought a picture of his Nana who is a massive Deal or No Deal fan. She was the one that suggested Lee apply for the show.

The Banker called Lee “pure South Wales” after an opening round of £75K, 10p, 50p, £5K and £250. The opening offer was £9K – NO DEAL. Noel had to bring out The Banker’s pants when Lee had his designer underwear on show. £50K was balanced by 1p in round two. The Banker wanted to get it over with £11.5K but after some encouragement, Lee said – NO DEAL. Ron dented Lee’s dreams with £250K in round three. The Banker dropped the value of box 16 to £3K – NO DEAL.

A good fourth round almost repaired the damage done in the previous round. The Banker went back up to £9,250. Lee was upset by Candice’s game yesterday which saw her walk out of The Dream Factory with £5. The Banker called back to say if Lee dealt he would give £1K to Candice. After speaking to The Banker, Lee was ready for the question – DEAL! The offer would’ve dropped to £4K when £100K was hit in round five. The Banker’s dirty trick was thrown back in his face when Lee left £5 and £1K on the board. Noel flipped box 16 to see £1K. Candice surprised Lee at the end of the game with an emotional hug.
more

It was a big birthday win for… Bill!

The Banker’s Birthday continued...

The Banker’s Birthday continued with used car merchandiser, Bill. He placed box six on the Pound Table before speaking about his role in the Falklands war. A press cutting showing the damage to his ship was shown. Bill managed to escape the attack but 22 of his colleagues lost their lives that day. Noel welcomed wife, Jacky to the game before wishing Bill good luck!

£35K and four blues completed a good opening round. The Banker pitched the opening offer at £9K – NO DEAL. A further two blues were balanced by £50K. Bill made it clear he was he for the £250K but that didn’t scare The Banker who dropped the offer to £500 – NO DEAL. Mike was chucked out the studio during round three. He was later brought in but was ordered to lie on the hospital bed. £1K, £10 and 1p with Mani getting the kiss led to an offer of £20K – NO DEAL.

Bill left an excellent eight box when £15K, £20K and £250 did little damage. The Banker offered £27.5K. Bill knew if he declined he’d reach five box and have to operate – NO DEAL. £1 and £75K made it a massive final box, £3K. Bill began the operation and reached the first safety point guaranteeing him a holiday. Bill was filled with confidence and completed the second part of the operation at the first attempt! The Banker wanted Bill to leave the party with £50K! Bill was ready for the question – NO DEAL.

Bill only had one box to open, he chose ‘death box’ 22 which hid the £250K! The Banker wasn’t celebrating quite yet and offered £22K – NO DEAL. 10p was a great reply and The Banker offered £30K – DEAL! Bill left £5K and £10K on the board, the offer would’ve been £7.5K. Noel completed one of the tensest games ever by opening Bill’s box six to see £5K. Bill also received a week for two in Greece!
more

The Banker began celebrating...

The Banker began celebrating his birthday with a doctors and nurses theme. Noel reminded everyone that we crowned our third Quarter Millionaire, Suzanne last year. If the player gets to ‘five box’ in live play, they will get to operate for their chance to win a holiday and go on, one box at a time. However if the operation is a failure, The Banker will be able to look in their box.

Our next patient is… Paul! He took the Walk of Health with box four. Being a flight attendant, he met wife, Chantelle on a flight to Los Angeles. An unusual picture of Paul with his four children was shown. He stuck his head on his eldest daughter’s ex-boyfriend’s body!

Newbie, Tony got us on our way with £250. Leila got the penny kiss in an all-blue opening round. A subdued sounding Banker offered £15K – NO DEAL. £1 made it six blues in a row before £75K and £5K completed the second round. Despite the damage, the opening round was so powerful; the offer was £16K – NO DEAL. £10, £20K and 50p left just three blues on the board. The Banker called Paul a “baby faced assassin” and hoped he’d do a deal at £19.5K. Paul said that would clear half his debts so he was brave to say – NO DEAL.

Wife, Chantelle would’ve dealt but £100, £10K and £3K proved her wrong. Noel called it a “mighty eight box.” The Banker wanted Paul to leave with a big party bag of £24K. If Paul no dealt, he’d have the chance to operate. The Banker told Paul to think of his children but Paul felt there was another round. Chantelle wanted him to deal and the pressure told – DEAL! Noel’s fear that Chantelle talked him out of a fortune was proved right when £1K, £35K and £15K were found. The Banker’s offer would’ve been £40K. Paul managed to leave a dream finish of £50K and £250K. The Banker was heard laughing down the phone because the offer would’ve been £140K. Noel flipped Paul’s box 4 to see £250K! more

Retired community carer Brenda carried box seven down the Walk of Wealth. Her late husband, Keith had a dream to sell their home and buy a narrow boat, which Brenda went along with. Noel showed a photo of her narrow boat. She brought a lucky hat and her friend, Christine along before Noel let her cast off!

Brenda wanted The Dream Factory’s floor for her boat, “don’t panic” said an alerted Banker who sent security in. £50K and £250K contributed to an awful opening round. Brenda’s lived an isolated life on her boat and never stayed in a hotel before coming to Bristol. The Banker offered £2K – NO DEAL. Another big one, £100K went in round two. Pennyworth was on the phone; The Banker had gone to the pub but mentioned sticking at £2K before he went – NO DEAL. £20K made Noel wear Brenda’s lucky hat in round three. £10 completed the round. The Banker was back from the pub, “getting serious now” he said. It was an evenly balanced board so the offer was £4K – NO DEAL.

A much improved fifth round of £500, £100 and £1K saw the highest offer of £9K so far. Brenda asked for a sweep, six people said deal. Noel asked the question – DEAL! Newbie, Isolda had the penny and £75K was inside the death box. The Banker would’ve stuck at £9K. £10K and £15K were left on the board which meant the offer would’ve been £12K. Noel flipped Brenda’s box seven to see £10K. more

Handy man, Guy from Preston carried box 13 down the Walk of Wealth. Noel showed a photo of Guy’s family and welcomed Mum and Dad to the audience before wishing him good luck!

The Banker piled on the pressure early on by promising a tenner to each Pilgrim if Guy found the 1p. Unfortunately for Guy, he hit the other end of the scale, £250K gone! The Banker mocked the Pilgrims, “hard cheese losers.” It was a fair offer of £4k to Guy – NO DEAL. Guy’s offers were doubling thanks to two brilliant rounds. Guy wanted to buy a new car, a holiday and move to a bigger house. So declining the third offer of £16K was brave.

The Banker wanted to put the pressure back on Guy. He promised the Pilgrims a tenner if Guy found 1p in the fourth round. £50K and £50 were found but so was the 1p! “Here’s your tenor” said The Banker and a picture of Pavarotti was shown! The Banker offered £21K; Guy’s dad thought he should deal. The Banker said the Pilgrims really would get £10 if Guy deals. Guy admitted it was a life changing amount but was ready for the question – NO DEAL. The top of the game went in round five, £100K but The Banker showed respect by only dropping the offer to £17K. “Something about 13” said Guy so The Banker upped the offer by £1,300. Noel asked the question – DEAL! 50p and £75K stayed on the board which meant the offer would’ve been £26K but box 13 only contained 50p.
more

Welsh roofer, Tony carried box 10 down the Walk of Wealth. Tony crafts models made from slate and according to ‘Arts & Crafts Wales’ he is the one doing it! A small slate box was given to The Banker; Tony revealed there was a picture of The Banker inside. The Banker rang to confirm that he was indeed inside the box!

A wonderful start including £5 and 50p put Tony in a strong position. The Banker thought Tony’s gift demonstrated how clever he was and offered £14K – NO DEAL. £15K was the highest amount found in round two. Tony has fallen off roofs six times, once crashing through a ceiling onto a lady’s bed! The Banker upped the offer to £17.5K. Tony was separated from his siblings when he was younger; they went to different children’s homes so he would like enough money to be able to spend some quality time with them – NO DEAL. Despite £20K and £75K going in round three, the board remained strong so The Banker stuck at £17.5K – NO DEAL.

The Dream Factory roared when £750, £100 and £1K completed round four. The Banker reminded everyone that 1p and 10p were still on the board before offering was £23K – NO DEAL. Big hit, £100K was balanced by £50 and 10p in round five. With 1p and £250K still on the board, The Banker decided to offer £28.5K – NO DEAL. It was a grandstand finish when £35K and £50K made the final box, one of the biggest ever! Newbie, Olga opened box two to see 1p! That left a £500 / £250K finish. The Banker revealed the secret to Tony’s box, a mirror! It was a smart gift and a smart offer £72K – DEAL! There was a final twist when Noel flipped box 10 to see £250K! “That hurt” said Noel but Tony goes away £72K richer and The Banker can see by his reflection, Tony’s game aged him! more

Floyd was plucked from the wings with box one. Originally from Nigeria, Floyd was fostered in the UK at the age of three. Floyd’s parents sent him to the UK for a better education, “I’ve had a great life” he said gratefully. Girlfriend, Charlotte was in the audience. She met Floyd in a local nightclub and they now have two daughters together.

A hat trick of ladies delivered £1, 10p and £50. £20K and £5 completed a very good opening round. The Banker wanted to buy Floyd’s box for a whopping £15K – NO DEAL. Floyd would like to go back to his roots by visiting Nigeria and move to a bigger home. Despite a poor second round, his dreams looked achievable when £1K was the only red found in round three. With only four blues remaining, The Banker’s third offer was £20K – NO DEAL.

Round four produced £750, £3K and £5K. The Banker spoke to Floyd who managed to negotiate an offer of £27K. Floyd was tempted to go on before asking for the question – DEAL! It would prove to be the best decision of Floyd’s life. He hit the £250K which meant the offer would’ve dropped to £7K. It only got better for Floyd when he left 1p and £500 on the board. So it is surprising that he is still with her three years on. Noel said Gemma was known to be dippy, thinking Tuna came from Dolphins. Gemma showed a photo of her late granddad before Noel wished her good luck!

A horrendous start saw four of the power five; £100K, £250K, £50K and £75K go in the first two rounds. “Bad things happen to good people” said The Banker who made a second offer of £300 – NO DEAL. Things improved with an all-blue third round, Karl getting the 1p kiss. Gemma would like some money to set up home with Phil and take him to Thailand. The Banker’s offer was a much improved £3.5K – NO DEAL.

Gemma balanced the board, four blues and four reds at eight box. Being a 50/50 board, The Banker offered £5,050 – NO DEAL. Despite the £20K going in round five, The Banker offered the top of the game so far, £6.5K – NO DEAL. Gemma’s second all-blue round left £15K and £35K on the board. Gemma became emotional when The Banker rang, Noel called it an “incredible turn-a-round.” The offer was £23K – NO DEAL.
