Child carer, Helen came all...

Child carer, Helen came all the way from Barnsley to carry box 15 down the Walk of Wealth. Noel understood, Helen is hugely competitive and will do anything to win. Helen admitted she does enjoy the rush she gets from gambling. She showed a photo of her son, Dexter and her partner, Alex was in the audience.

Helen didn’t have a system and made the worst possible start, £250k in box five. The Banker was mightily relieved and offered £3k – NO DEAL. Helen would like to go to Australia and move into a bigger house with a garden for Dexter. It was becoming Spartan on the right hand side when £35k and £50k were hit. The third round concluded with £5k leaving just four reds on the board. The Banker still believed Helen was looking back on what’s happened. The offer was £6k – NO DEAL.

Helen completed a much needed all-blue fifth round. The Banker gave her the chance to win the highest amount possible by offering £10k. After some mixed advice, Noel asked the question – NO DEAL. Jackie got the 1p kiss and £5 left Helen on the edge of a guaranteed £20k. “Don’t pick the final box” said The Banker who offered £22k. That shocked Helen who was tempted to go on. Helen wanted to win, “nobody likes to lose, but you could lose with £22k” said The Banker. Noel asked the question – DEAL! 50p left £20k and £75k on the board, the offer would’ve been £45k. Helen insisted she would have swapped for box seven, which contained £75k. Noel was happy she lost… with £22k! more

Wendy, a 60’s loving fashion chick from Essex carried box seven down the Walk of Wealth. Noel looked at her items which included a photo of her sisters and a Banker voodoo doll! Wendy believes in Karma and had her daughter and partner, Reg in the audience for support.

Marios got the penny kiss but £100k was also found in the opening round. The Banker offered a holding £5k and a sedative – NO DEAL. Wendy wanted enough money to buy a caravan for her family to enjoy. £1, 50p and £10 brought that dream closer to a reality. The Banker wanted rid and offered £10k – NO DEAL. Wendy saw the offer double again when £250, 10p and £10k were found in round three. She was brave to decline £20k – NO DEAL.

Wendy saw a physic 12 years ago who predicted she would win a substantial amount from a red box. A second all-blue round made The Banker double again, this time to £40k. Wendy had her lucky number (7) on the Pound Table so – NO DEAL. Wendy couldn’t watch but £5 left an all-red five box. The Banker offered an excellent £60k – DEAL! Wendy left £1k and £250k as her final two. The Banker would’ve offered £100k. Noel flipped Wendy’s box seven to see £1k. more

Leo danced down the Walk...

Leo danced down the Walk of Wealth. He is a customer service rep and part time breakdance instructor. Leo spoke about dance and how it opened a lot of doors for him and improved his confidence. Leo would like to give back to hip hop and get more kids involved. Noel forgot to do the normal housekeeping but remembered to wish him good luck!

£100k and £50k were big hits in the opening round. The Banker apologised for his “unprofessional host” and was ready to rumba with £800 – NO DEAL. Leo was given a chance to show off his dance moves. Noel introduced Leo as “Britain’s next dancing star.” He impressively breakdanced around the Dream Factory. The applause soon faded however when £250k was wiped form the board. The Banker said “excellent dance moves” but loved the cruel irony of the Quarter Million going. He would buy the box now for £500 – NO DEAL. £50, £5 and £15k were found in round three which pushed the offer up to £3,000 – NO DEAL.

£75k and £35k made it one of the unluckiest games for some time. “What a board!” cried The Banker who would do a deal for £750 – NO DEAL. Only one red (£20,000) remained after round four, “all or peanuts” said Noel. The offer was £500 – NO DEAL. Helen got the penny kiss but it was a false dawn, £20k killed the game. 10p and £100 were left at the climax. The Banker’s offer was £19.95p. Leo declined the swap and Noel flipped box 20 to see £100!
more

Self-employed hairdresser...

Self-employed hairdresser, Chris hoped to spank The Banker in style with box one. Chris’s son, Joe was sat amongst the Pilgrims. Noel read he wasn’t planned, “very special though” said Chris who explained she fell pregnant with Joe after husband, Paul had the snip!

The Banker needed Brandy to steady his nerves when four blues and £10k were found in the opening round. He called Chris a “Dark Horse” before offering £11k – NO DEAL. Despite losing £250k, £75k and £20k in the next two rounds, the offers remained at £11k which she twice declined.

1p, £500 and £35k swung the game in Chris’ favour. The Banker saw a steely determination in her eyes, so he pitched the offer at £15k. Her fellow contestants in the wings were trying to rein her in. The Banker tried his best too before Noel asked the question – NO DEAL. A fifth round produced £1, £15k and £50k which made it tricky for Chris. The Banker was pumping away on his stress ball before pitching the offer at £13,750 – DEAL! Chris admitted the thought of a one box game scared her but if she had been a little braver, she would have been offered £35k. Noel flipped box one to see £100k, which confirmed Chris missed out on Deal’s second biggest prize. more

Belinda, the professional drifter...

Belinda, the professional drifter skidded down the Walk of Wealth with box 16. Noel explained a professional drifter puts a car out of control, with the aim to drift for as along as possible. Belinda started her career by drag racing in her younger days. Noel showed a photograph of Belinda drifting at 70mph. Her daughters had made a little box three which is “their number.” It just contained hopes and dreams. Belinda’s sister, Tina was in the audience.

Belinda said £50K was a “chunky one” but newbie, Alex saved her with 1p in box 13. The Banker felt like a vintage car and offered £9K – NO DEAL. Belinda dreams of going to Japan, the home of drifting. She was ticking along nicely, hitting £3K, £10K and £250 in round two. The Banker offered £11K – NO DEAL. Belinda went up a gear in round three. £15K, £35K and 10p wiped from the board. The Banker wanted her to “slam on the brakes” and offered £14.5K – NO DEAL.

An all-blue fourth round made The Banker a write-off; he was forced to offer £26K. Tina came down to talk to Belinda who wanted to make her girls proud – NO DEAL. £1K, 50p and £750 left an excellent five box. The Banker offered a staggering £75K – DEAL! £75K, £250K and £1 left £20K and £100K on the board. Noel flipped Belinda’s box 16 to see £100K.
Accountancy student, Paul...

Accountancy student, Paul had his chance to play Deal or No Deal. When Paul was just 12 years old, he was rushed to hospital with meningitis. He was in a coma for 12 days and had both legs amputated from under the knee. Noel thought it was inspirational to hear that Paul still continues playing sports and hasn’t let his disability impact his life. Paul showed a photograph of his two children and had partner, Joanne in the audience. Paul was here to set up his children for life. A friend made a small box nine which was placed next to Paul’s box, four.

Paul had a very strong opening round which continued into round two, with Lily getting the 1p kiss. The Banker guessed the little box nine had something to do with Alan Shearer, who visited Paul whilst he was in hospital. Paul had frequent visits from the footballer arranged through the Dream Foundation. The significance of number nine was translated into the offer of £19,999. Noel asked the question – NO DEAL. Paul hit the first power five amounts of £50K and £35K in round three. The Banker was scared; Paul wasn’t a quitter so the offer was £21K – NO DEAL.

Paul felt it was time for Noel to open his little box nine. It contained £250,000 and a lucky gem. £10, 10p and £3K were found in round four. The Banker, “why me!?” he would buy the box for £30K! Paul wants to get married to Joanne but was ready for the question – NO DEAL. The Banker was on edge when 50p, £750 and £5K were wiped from the board. The offer was an amazing £70K! “I’ve still got those top three” said Paul, which panicked Joanne. Noel asked the question – DEAL! £10K, £100K and £100 left £100 and £250K on the board. The Banker’s offer at this point would’ve been £100K.
Estate agent, James was in the building. The family man placed box three on the Pound Table. He brought in a photo of his two children and is married to, Emma. She was at home looking at the kids so his Sister was in the audience. James proposed to Emma on a beach, he went down to pick up a shell and came up with a ring.

Just three reds were found in the first three rounds. £35K, £50K and £15K were surrounded by blues. The Banker noticed James kept looking at the photo of his children. The offers had been edging up and were now at £12K. The top three amounts were still on the board so James said – NO DEAL.

An all-blue fourth round pushed the offer up to £20K. James was lost for words, The Banker tried to emotionally blackmail James into getting a deal. Noel asked the question – NO DEAL. It was an electric atmosphere inside the Dream Factory when £5 and 1p were hit in round five. Amazingly James then hit the final blue, £1 leaving an extremely rare all-red eight box. The Banker conceded the emotional blackmail backfired; the offer was now £40,000! Noel asked the question – NO DEAL. Noel and James were shaking with excitement when £5K, £20K and £1K kept the three biggest amounts in live play at ‘five box.’ The Banker was crying as much as James was but for very different reasons. The offer was a staggering £65K; James’ nerves couldn’t take no more – DEAL!

A near perfect final round of £250K, £3K and £100K left £10K and £75K on the board.
Recovery nurse, Zoe...

Recovery nurse, Zoe from Birmingham brought a goat to the Pound Table along with box four. Finance Tom was in the audience, who wanted to get on the property ladder, have kids and then get married. Zoe explained that she sleep talks and one night thought she was a goat, hence the item.

It was a mixed start with £35K and £100K causing damage. Zoe did find the 1p however, Lily getting the kiss. The Banker’s opening offer was £7,750 – NO DEAL. Two low reds and a blue kept the board tidy in round two so The Banker stuck at £7,750 – NO DEAL. Round three had a sting in the tail of £50K, although two blues kept the board balanced. The 10p’s presence worried Zoe, The Banker was certain she had the 10p in her box. The offer was £10,000.10p. Zoe would like to take her mum on holiday, clear student debt, buy a new car and put a deposit down on her own place – NO DEAL.

Zoe was prevented an all-blue round yet again, this time £15K was found in the final box. The Banker continued the 10p mind games by offering £18,000.10p. Tom said he would deal but Zoe was struggling with the risk / reward dilemma. Noel asked the question – DEAL! Zoe managed to hit £250K in round five, which would have forced the offer down to £12,000.10p. Amazingly Zoe managed to leave 10p and £75K on the board. The Banker offered The Banker’s gamble but wouldn’t allow her to swap. Zoe confessed she was a gambler, which prompted Tom to come down and speak to her. Zoe had made up her mind – NO DEAL.
Ioannis brought box 14 to the Pound Table, originally from Cyprus; he came to the UK in 1957 when he was just 21 years old. He started work as a kitchen porter and moved his way up in the hotel business. Ioannis joined the merchant navy, serving on the Queen Elizabeth.

£50,000 and £20,000 were the only damaging amounts found in round one. The Banker opened the offers at £7,500 but Ioannis said “no deal” before Noel asked him the question! Producer, Alex came down to teach Ioannis the rules during the break but he forgot to ask for the question, again! Ioannis continued to get Alex in trouble during round two and declined £9,900. Alex quit he’s job during round three which saw two blues and £10,000.
The Deal Panto was in full swing!

The Deal Panto was in full swing! Mark carried box 16 to the Pound Table on Boxing Day. He brought a photo of his late mother in New York. Mark knew the photo was taken near Time Square but he wanted to fly out there to find the exact spot. She sadly passed away a few months after the photo was taken, when her Cancer came back. That was Mark’s inspiration to apply for Deal or No Deal.

Mark managed to find the 1p but unlike the last few games, The Banker forgot to offer the holiday. It was an impressive all-blue opening round, which forced The Banker to offer £13K. £75K was the only real damage in the next two rounds, The Banker tried to stop him reaching the lamp with an offer of £18K.

A horrible fourth round of £100K, £50K and £15K knocked the offer down to £15K. Mark got to the lamp without hitting any other big reds. He gave it a rub and chose the red puff of smoke, “your wish is granted” so he picked to go on one box at a time. The Banker worked in New York and knew where the photo was taken. If Mark dealt on £35K, The Banker promised to reveal the exact location – DEAL! Noel couldn’t believe it when £250K, £20K and £50 left £5K and £35K on the board. Noel flipped Mark’s box 16 to see £35K, a draw!

The address of the photo was brought out; Mark peeled it away revealing a holiday to New York! more
