Gok Wan, James Corden and more enter The Dream Factory
We take a look back at our favourite celebrity moments07/04/2016
We’ve had a host of celebrities enter The Dream Factory over the years – from world-renowned comedians to chart-topping boy bands – with many finding the ordeal of facing The Banker far tougher than they expected! Here are some of our favourite celebrity Deal moments.
Gok Wan gambles and wins just 10p
He may have been all smiles when he entered The Dream Factory but after some tough rounds against The Banker, presenter Gok Wan left with the lowest ever celebrity win – just 10p! Gok’s charity of choice, Kidscape, was still able to raise more than £2,000 thanks to the support of the show’s fans.
James Corden faces Box 23
With £16,000 already secure for his chosen charities, writer, presenter and actor James Corden took a big risk by betting it all on Box 23 – the largest ever sum at the time. As Noel opens the box to reveal he’s doubled his money, the audience’s relief is palpable – and James is truly ecstatic.
It’s all too much for Alan Carr
The Dream Factory is stressful at the best of times, but with charity money on the table and £250,000 up for grabs, Chatty Man Alan Carr found the pressure was getting to him. He may have dealt a little too early, but Alan still earned a life-changing £41,000 for charity Stand Up to Cancer.
Olly Murs hopes for his big break
He may be best known for his time on The X-Factor in 2009, but singer Olly Murs made his television debut years earlier in the Dream Factory. Olly decided it was his time to go all the way, ultimately swapping his own box and finding he was left with £10 to his name. The Dream Factory may not have been able to make his dreams come true, but he didn’t have long to wait.
